THE PRODUCT

When the shades were installed, I realized that I needed to have had solar shades added on the patio door (3 window composite) as well. I contacted my sales representative who informed me that Stoneside would get in touch with me to find a solution since they "guaranteed satisfaction".  They waited until after the 30-day mark to call me. On installation, at the end of the day, the technicians stated that there were some pieces missing and, they needed to "train" me on how to recharge the motors. They would come back to finish off the installation. I did not hear back from the scheduler until 35 days after the installation for an appointment. I don't think it was coincidence that I received a call after the 30day mark. Nevertheless, at this point it did not matter as my indignation over the blinds completely overwhelmed anything else. THE VERDICT

This was an extremely bad purchase. My colleague at work paid less than half for a much better installation from Home Depot! Not even a professional window dressing place - Home Depot of all places. Throughout the custom construction of my house, I have had no problem paying for upgraded items. But I work hard for my money and have insisted on getting a quality product for my money. This is how it should be and this is how it has been. But these shades have been an absolute disappointment. The installation has been abysmal and hopefully my blog will help people make an informed decision on where to get their window dressings from.
